CM Land Development builds premier lifestyle residences. It was born out of a merger between a creative vision and a highly reputable, established residential contracting business. For our owner and developer business, we find the most selective locations, and then we design, finance, and build down to every last detail. Our goal is to create a home that is fully turn-key and ready for move-in. For our client business where owners want to build their custom dream home, we run a very transparent process that is fully tailored to meet our clients’ expectations. Our interior design services are also available separately upon request.

    Bobby Cummings launched CM Land Development out of a pure passion to create magnificent residential lifestyle opportunities.

    Many builders can and do build a beautiful home, but few create a special place that offers unparalleled flow, style, detail, and comfort that truly rewards the homeowner with a unique experience. Bobby has always loved the harmony that varying materials can create including woods, metals, stone, and glass.

    Bobby approaches every single home as if it’s his own, spending endless time considering all its sophisticated potential. The ultimate reward for him is capturing the hearts of his most discerning clients.

  • Lori Cummings

    Senior Interior Designer

    Lori Cummings is a home creative who has spent an entire career doing interior design. Understanding how to create a home environment around a desired lifestyle lets her always craft an elegant yet cozy space.

    Post attending Parson’s School of Design in NYC, Lori spent many years both within large commercial design companies like Mancini Duffy as well as smaller firms focusing on residential projects. This ultimately gave way to her own interior design business, One Room At A Time Design.

    Partnering now with her husband of 30+ years, the duo focuses on delivering their clients with a luxury product that is both elegant but simple, soothing but exciting, and always stylishly inviting.

  • Devon Cummings

    Project & Account Manager

    Devon Cummings takes on a broad range of responsibilities including project management oversight, financial accounting services, material logistics, and several other skills that contribute to every finished project.

    Devon is an Elon University graduate with a bachelor’s degree in international business, who has contributed his expertise and dedication to the CM Land Development family business since early 2020.

Our Commitment

What an owner can expect from CM Land Development LLC when hired to develop your project or future dream home.

Firstly, from design inception, we can be as fully engaged or not depending on an owner’s preference. We can create the concepts based on client input and feedback, assist as an advisor offer suggestions along the way, or simply execute what you present to us. We are happy to be as involved as you want us to be. 

Post design creation we will work with you on a comprehensive budget. We have a deep knowledge of implementation costs to efficiently deliver a project from inception to a C of O and a smooth, timely, turn-key move-in. 

Upon architectural plans being developed, we will completely run the permitting process for you.  We have done this within many cities for a long time and we are both familiar with the process as well, as the various inspectors and reviewers. One should not underestimate the time commitment and the aggravation in this bureaucratic municipal process. 

Upon commencement of your project, you will be provided with a constant steady flow of information.  If we do anything at all well, at the top of that list, we pride ourselves on being honest, transparent, and great communicators. On that point, we have put in place a fully transparent owner process.  

Owners will be routinely provided:

  • Detailed budget spreadsheets for every single cost item labor & material inclusive. 

  • Detailed cash flow analysis (CFA) where every dollar goes and reconciliation of same.

  • Full competitively obtained sub-contracts where applicable.

  • Detailed bank statements accounting for all payments made per the CFA spreadsheets.

  • Line releases for payments made to any sub-contractors or material suppliers.

  • Timely communication and frequent updates on the progression of the project.

  • Timely requests for upcoming draws prevent last-minute surprises. 

  • Access to us (as owners of our business) to answer or explain anything, anytime! 

  • Expect to see us onsite. We live and breathe our projects whether they are our own or for an owner, so expect to see us there.

Based on everything above; the dedication to each project, the complete transparency and competitiveness of our process is why we offer a cost-plus based contract. We believe strongly that this process ends up substantially more efficient than a builder that pads each number to potentially insulate themselves within a fixed price. We are proud to be able to deliver the premium luxury homes we build with unparalleled details and materials at arguably the most attractive prices per/square foot in our region of South Florida.
